Being able to show the different colours of the world through story, now that’s a real privilege.

Based out of Toronto, my entire life has been spent building characteristics to tell stories through various mediums. From a background in publishing, my firm knowledge of structure and style has always influenced my voice as a storyteller whose main focus was to always highlight the indelible ways our world is coloured and connected.

I have been lucky enough to self-finance and make films under the Brown Sugar Productions umbrella, but also to have the opportunity to work in the commercial and music video industries. Without a piece of paper from a film school, being on set for artists such as Johnny Orlando, brands such as GymShark and Adidas, and teams near to my heart such as the Toronto Raptors and TFC, I have put my dreams into action and look forward to continuing in such. If there is one thing that going from PA to 2nd AD in the span of 2 months has taught me, it’s that hard work pays off.

One last thing, I should say that I am firm believer in the power of stories. We often think our experiences to be unique, when in reality they are interconnected. This is why I like to use the word colour a lot in describing my “why” behind storytelling and filmmaking; the world is coloured by single experiences that act as a brush strokes on a canvas. Each person sees the world differently, and that’s what makes storytelling so beautiful — its plurality is reliant upon its individuality. To quote Roger Ebert, “We live in a box of space and time. Movies are windows in its walls. They allow us to enter other minds (…) by seeing the world as another person sees it.”

LET’S CREATE.
